Penetration

Structural concept of stiffener penetration configurations typically used in shipbuilding. Penetration has the following child elements:

Description ocx xs:string opt. [0, 1] False Contains a description of the component its parent represents. The description is stored as a string. You can use this element for whatever purposes you require. This element can be used inside many OCX XML elements but is optional.
DoubleBracket ocx ocx:DoubleBracket_T opt. [0, 1] True A double bracket connection type at the position of the end configuration.
PillarRef ocx ocx:PillarRef_T opt. [0, 1] True The reference to a connected Member (Pillar) at this end configuration.
PlateRef ocx ocx:PlateRef_T opt. [0, 1] True The reference to a connected Plate at this end configuration.
Point3D ocx ocx:Point3D_T req. [1, 1] False The logical geometric position of the end configuration at the stiffener's end.
SingleBracket ocx ocx:SingleBracket_T opt. [0, 1] True A single bracket connection type at the position of the end configuration.
SlotParameters ocx ocx:SlotParameters_T opt. [0, 1] False Parameters of a slot (cut-out) typically used in shipbuilding.
StiffenerRef ocx ocx:StiffenerRef_T opt. [0, 1] True The rference to the connected Stiffener at this end configuration.
WebStiffenerWithDoubleBracket ocx ocx:WebStiffenerWithDoubleBracket_T opt. [0, 1] True A web stiffener with double bracket connection at the position of the end configuration.
WebStiffenerWithSingleBracket ocx ocx:WebStiffenerWithSingleBracket_T opt. [0, 1] True Web stiffener with single bracket connection at the position of the end configuration.
WebStiffener ocx ocx:WebStiffener_T opt. [0, 1] True Web stiffener at the position of the end configuration.

Penetration has the following attributes:

Attribute Namespace Type Use Default Fixed Description
tightness ocx Restriction of type xs:string opt. The tightness type of the penetration.
name ocx xs:string opt. An optional descriptive or display name.
id ocx xs:ID req. An identifier for an element unique within the scope of the XML file. Each id must be unique within a document. The attribute uses the standard XML 1.0 ID type as defined in the XML Schema specification. This attribute is required in many OCX XML elements and an application should generate them automatically.
