CoordinateSystem

A right-handed orthogonal Cartesian coordinate system. Used to define the vessel coordinate system definition., either in world coordinates (mandatory) or as additional local systems if necessary. CoordinateSystem has the following child elements:

Child Namespace Type Use Cardinality Choice Description
LocalCartesian ocx ocx:Transformation_T opt. [0, 1] False To specify a Local (Orthogonal) Axis System Origin and two of the local X,Y,Z axis need to be specified. When used to specify a Plane the XY (UV) plane is considered. Optional if the coordinate system is referring to the global coordinate frame (world coordinates)
XRefPlanes ocx ocx:RefPlanes_T req. [1, 1] False A collection of Y-Z planes used as object limits. Can also be used to create a frame table definition for display purposes. The exporting application will then have to provide all grid positions.
YRefPlanes ocx ocx:RefPlanes_T opt. [0, 1] False A collection of X-Z planes used as object limits. Can also be used to create a frame table definition for display purposes. The exporting application will then have to provide all grid positions.
ZRefPlanes ocx ocx:RefPlanes_T opt. [0, 1] False A collection of X-Y planes used as object limits. Can also be used to create a frame table definition for display purposes. The exporting application will then have to provide all grid positions.

CoordinateSystem has the following attributes:

Attribute Namespace Type Use Default Fixed Description
isGlobal ocx xs:boolean optional true If set to true, the coordinate system is the global world coordinate frame with right-handed convention. This is the default.
GUIDRef ocx ocx:guid req. A globally Unique ID referring an entity in the sending application.
name ocx xs:string opt. An optional descriptive or display name.
id ocx xs:ID req. An identifier for an element unique within the scope of the XML file. Each id must be unique within a document. The attribute uses the standard XML 1.0 ID type as defined in the XML Schema specification. This attribute is required in many OCX XML elements and an application should generate them automatically.
